Children: Clients under the age of 18 are welcome if accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, who will be asked to give signed consent for treatment. They will also be asked to remain present for the duration of the agreed treatment.

Contraindications: A contraindication is a specific situation in which a medical treatment, procedure, or medication should not be used because it could be harmful to the person. An example would be a client with a pacemaker. Although Reiki is not harmful, some sources suggest that Reiki energy could potentially interfere with the electrical signals of a pacemaker. Client's are responsible for discussing medical conditions with their doctor and obtaining their doctor's approval before beginning Reiki treatment. Clients with medical conditions who are using Zen Reiki services release Zen Reiki and its practitioner(s) from all related liability.

Guarantees: Several factors influence the success of individual sessions. While benefits are commonly seen, there are no guarantees of success or cure regarding a condition or its treatment.
